Trying to find a decent place to live while in university or college can be discouraging. But in five cities across Ontario, there's a positive alternative that can help: student co-operative housing.

Student co-ops are built, owned, and operated by students just like you. In Ontario, student co-ops serve students attending Queen's University, George Brown College, St. Lawrence College, Ontario College of Art, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, University of Toronto, University of Guelph, Conestoga College, University of Waterloo, and Wilfred Laurier University.

Science '44 Co-op Chooses Fair Trade

Wake up and smell the coffee! Science '44 Co-op has begun sourcing all of it's coffee from a women's co-op in Guatemala. The coffee tastes great, and the members love knowing that their meal plan fees are being spent responsibly.

Science '44 Co-op also serves organic apples, fair trade tea, and meat from local farmers. The organization is in the midst of transitioning into a new composting system.

Science '44 has also partnered with several Kingston co-ops including the Sleepless Goat Cafe and the Yellow Bike Action group.
