E-mail Print PDF

Wake up and smell the coffee! Science '44 Co-op has begun sourcing all of it's coffee from a women's co-op in Guatemala. The coffee tastes great, and the members love knowing that their meal plan fees are being spent responsibly.

Science '44 Co-op also serves organic apples, fair trade tea, and meat from local farmers. The organization is in the midst of transitioning into a new composting system.

Science '44 has also partnered with several Kingston co-ops including the Sleepless Goat Cafe and the Yellow Bike Action group.

Science '44 Co-op is a student housing organisation located in Kingston, Ontario. It was started by students from the Queen's University Class of Science '44. We provide room and board for 160 students from Queen's University and St. Lawrence College. To date there are five Ontario student housing co-operatives in operation and about 50 North American student housing co-operatives.
