Located across the street from the University of Waterloo and five minutes from Wilfrid Laurier University, WCRI aims to provide low-cost, high-quality housing to post-secondary students in the Waterloo Region. With available housing for over 800 students and an active membership of over 3000 members, it is the second-largest student housing co-operative in North America. Double (two occupants), small-single, and large-single dormitory rooms are available for four-month periods, and 1- to 4-bedroom apartments are rented on an annual basis. Additionally, apartment residents can choose to sublet their apartments for up to four-months at a time. WCRI offers a number of services, including laundry facilities, parking, organized social activities, and study, music, and bike rooms.
